The Anglers Arms New Years Eve Party Extravaganza!

31st December from 7pm until late is the New Years Eve party to end all New Years Eve parties. A Disco Karaoke in the bar and with a buffet and a glass of bubbly on arrival - why would you want to fight the crowds in town and face a huge wait and cost in a taxi????? 27th December - Mel's Fun Quiz

Member of mensa? Don't worry - neither is anyone that comes to Mel's fun quiz. Mel puts the F in Fun and will be delivering the questions with his usual unusual pronunciations. Just a pound a player with about a team of 6 max, come down and enjoy the fun from about 8pm onwards in the Bar - featuring the snowball round too!

22nd December - The Vance Clayton Christmas Show

The legend that is Vance Clayton returns to the Anglers for his now annual Christmas party. Tune after tune, hit after hit from Vance playing the best music absolutely free of charge in the Bar from about 8.00pm onwards.

21st December - Karaoke Disco

Christmas is getting closer and what a better way to spend the last Saturday night before Christmas than to join us for our free Karaoke Disco in the bar. All are welcome!

14th December from about 8.30 in the Bar is a Karaoke Disco free of charge! With drinks promotions available and with a great atmosphere from the locals and hosts, come on down! The worse you are, the better it is!

Halloween Week Special Menu & Fancy Dress party!

From Monday 28th October through to Saturday 2nd November, The Anglers are having a 'spooky menu' alongside our normal menu. We are also staging a party on the Saturday night with 'Deadmans Shoes' performing live in the bar from 8.30pm. Fancy dress is a must! Prize for the best dressed on offer. Mel's fun quiz - Friday 1st November

It's just £1 a player with a team of about 5-6 allowed. You don't have to be a member of Mensa! It's a General Knowledge quiz with a music round, dingbats and picture quiz. Plus there is a monthly snowball question for the raffle winner. Starts at about 8.30 with Mel the compère extraordinaire!

Karaoke & Disco Saturday 19th October

Live in the Bar from 8pm is a free entry Karaoke and Disco. Come on down and get involved - even better if you can't sing!

Clairvoyance night - April 10th

On the back of the excellent and popular clairvoyance night earlier in the year, a return event with a new clairvoyant is on April 10th in the restaurant area from 7pm. Come on down!

Bank holiday weekend entertainment with excellent local artist Spek Burton playing all the hits. Get down to the bar for about an 8pm start.

Mel's Quiz - April 26th

Mel's monthly quiz returns from 8pm in the bar. £1 per person with teams of about a max of 6. Its all for fun and you don't need to be a member of mensa! Cash and food voucher prizes available for winners and 2nd last!

Well known local band Family Affair are live in the bar from 8pm with free entry. Playing all the hits from the 60s through to today. Get there early to get a seat.

Grand National Day

Join us in the bar for the afternoon of April 6th for Grand National Day. We are having the National screened live in the bar and will have some nibbles, beer promotions and a sweepstake running. Come down and join in the fun! The family are welcome!

In a first for The Anglers were are pleased to welcome KLR Psychic Agency who are putting on "An Evening of Clairvoyance with Medium Scott Williams"

Anglers Race Night returns 26.1.13

Following the success of the first race night where £200 was raised for children's charities, the Anglers is pleased to welcome back the team to once again host a race night in the aim of raising money for charity.

Mel's Fun Quiz Night 25.01.13

Member of Mensa or just a plain dunce? It's time for Mel's monthly fun quiz. Teams welcome at a price of £1 per team member with cash and voucher prizes on offer

Rounds include music, general knowledge, dingbats and guess the celeb means its a good laugh and not taken too seriously. Plus there is the monthly rolling snowball question where if the lucky ticket owner doesn't guess correctly it snowballs over to next month.

With beer offers and great food available as always, come on down and bring friends and family and have a good night with us.

Burns night at The Anglers 18.01.13

To celebrate Burns night this year The Anglers is putting on a great night of food and entertainment on the 18th Jan.

For just £10 we are putting on a 3 course set themed meal and then afterwards a Piper and Singer is on for your entertainment. The singer is non other than PopIdol finalist Chris Tame who is not to be missed. A fantastic voice and has a great local following.
